Putting everything together to propose to brand
After weeks of research and preparation, I created my final pitch project for High Noon Sun Sips. I closely studied the brand’s social media and online presence. I also took a look at other brands that have hit the nail on the head with social media from eye-catching advertisements to trendy organic content.
With High Noons being one of my favorite summer (and year-round) drinks, it was only fitting that I chose them for this social media assessment. I knew going into this project that they already had a decent presence on a few platforms (Instagram and Twitter). My goal was to find a way to build this presence and make it even better. They do a great job following current trends and creating relatable content that consumers can really engage with. I wanted to take these solid aspects and make something great. And I figured, what better way to do this than create a TikTok account? With its steady popularity among multiple demographics, more and more brands have taken to TikTok to improve their brand image and stand out. Not all have mastered it, but some do an excellent job. I figured that with High Noon’s preexisting social strategies that have proven to be successful, a TikTok account would only help boost their image and help them grow more as a company.
TikTok is all about trends and pop culture. That is why it is crucial for brands to be very in-tune with current events, dances, and sounds that may be trending on the app. Given High Noon’s partnership with Barstool Sports, a popular digital media company among today’s youth with all things sports and pop culture, they clearly already have the upper hand in these departments. I thought that having a TikTok account to implement these strong branding strategies with the help of a few influencers could put High Noon at the top of the food chain for food and beverage brands on social media. Especially because not many other alcoholic brands have TikTok accounts, this gives High Noon even more of a leg up and could potentially start a trend that other brands may follow.
Going through this project, I learned how to view social media from a third-party standpoint. I already know how to utilize it from a personal and professional perspective, but this project allowed me to look at other brands from the outside in. I increased my digital and social media marketing knowledge which is relevant to my job, and I will take these skills into my professional endeavors.
